We feel we should concede the point right up front: the Patagonia Better Sweater really is better. We're compelled to revisit our earlier skepticism about a pullover fleece that performs as well powering up a skin track as it does day to day in the 9 to 5 grind at work.
Our first clue: we forgot to review the Better Sweater on time. Yeah, that's on us, but in our defense we were wearing the Better Sweater every freaking day - and it's been below zero here at Gearflogger HQ for over a week. Easy to forget these things, all we're sayin'...
We're certainly not afraid to criticize gear around here, but we're really struggling with the Better Sweater. It looks really nice - hey, got us through the holiday office party season - especially in the ribbed knit colors. The three button collar is perfect for venting a little, and the fit is straight up perfect.
One weirdness we've experienced with fleece sweaters is sometimes, for reasons unknown, they make the skin on our arms itch. We kind of assume it's something about the fabric being a little rough or something, but we never had this problem with the Better Sweater. Smooth sailing all the way, and bonus: it's Fair Trade Certified and made from recycled polyester so now you feel even better! If you're looking for a sweater that you can wear pretty much anywhere, and better yet will actually want to, check out the Patagonia Better Sweater.
